A local dealer has a Sig 22 lr conversion kit for a 229, and I was wondering if it would work on my classic P228. I appreciate any assistance!

Thanks!!!!!

There are two different 229/22 kits.

Railed and non-railed.
Difference in the length of the bottom lug. Shorter on the railed version. Since the railed frame has a longer dust cover.
Installing a railed version on a non-railed frame will result in a gap between the lug and dust cover.

The non-railed version will work fine on a 228 frame.
