Guys I have a 938 born in 2016, that is cutting the brass of my defense rounds. I opened the gun and found brass shavings throughout the frame. Gun shoots fine but my concern is why each time I rack the slide, the rounds are cut by I assume the extractor.

Cut? In what way? Can you take and post a picture? If there is a big gouge being taken out of the case rim, this suggests a faulty magazine causing "push-feeding." It should not be doing that. The magazine should push the round up between the extractor and breech face before the slide goes forward to chamber; the round should not be pushed ahead and the extractor snap over the rim as it chambers the round. This is only a guess.

Not sure which defensive round you are referencing. I do not experience this with 124gr HST, which is the only defensive round I have used with the P938.

Gouging up the bullet? Then there (I would think) be some sort of sharp edge or burr on or in the chamber. The bullet doesn't (or shouldn't) contact the extractor or the magazine feed lips when cycling. If it isn't that, then I got nothin'.

Cutting the projectile? Are they reloads? I'd measure the overall length of the round with a micrometer as one check.
