I am thinking of selling my 228, and keeping the 226. The 226 has the G2 grip that fits my hand better.
Although keeping the 228 would let me use all the extra 226 mags. I have 10-12 of each

One reason to not have the high cap Sigs is the Berettas are the most accurate and with a thin G10 Coolhand grip, they fit hand and point real well. The M9 slide is easier to move, but sometimes grabbing the rear of the slide works the safe lever accidently. The slide does have the front dimples to grab from underneath.
The Beretta and the PPQ do have much friendlier slide stop levers.

Too bad I don't have a Glock to sell. Life would be much easier

I have ‘to many’ by some standards. I usually have a modest number in rotation, CC, deer hunting, varmints, prairie dogging.

I have some in medium & long term storage, RIG grease & all. Some are NIB, others never fired by me.

What’s better, a bank CD or a mint 1966 Sako Forester at a good price? I have two Sako’s in 243, never fired since I bought them.

I caught the Beretta fever & few years back. As a consequence, I sold off most of my Classic Sigs having come to a similar conclusion as yourself. But, I do have my Glocks Wink

I had more than 4 when I was 13 years old.

No such thing as too many guns.

Buy a 45 dollar G conversion kit for your Beretta. Do away with inadvertent safety applications.

Unless you're swimming with them, there's no such thing as "Too many guns"

I wouldn't sell your P228. I learned my lesson a couple decades back. I don't sell guns anymore. I buy guns, and sometimes give them to friends and family, but I don't sell guns. Particularly if they're excellent guns like the P228. If you decide to sell you should be able to get a buyer pretty quick though.

If you think you have to many sell them, at one point I had over 20 guns, sold just about all of them and just kept a few for self defense. I enjoyed owning them but don't miss any of them.

What is this concept of too many ?
I’m well into 3 digits in my collection and that’s after I sold several a few years ago to buy my truck and then sold a few off roster guns last year to friends behind enemy lines before I escaped CA. I miss all of the ones I sold but at least I can replace them easier where I am now

I wouldn't sell your P228 either
I have been through this way back & went through the Beretta thing & now have zero of them
Also sold my P220ST, P225, P228, P229 & P239
The one I miss the most is the P255 or P6 because it fits my hand so darn good & shoots fantastic
My only SIG Currently is the P320 carry in an X-Grip Module
Wish I still had that $300 factory refurb P225 in the orange case

I went through a decluttering stage a few years ago. Got rid of a AK 47, non collector 1916 DWM Luger, 226,228,G22, and a Beretta 92FS Inox. In a selfish way I always wish I hadn't, but I put the money into other hobbies. I sold them to friends who are enjoying them. Regarding the Luger. I have an all matching DWM 1916, so selling the refinished mis matched one to a close friend wasn't a big deal. I'm 63 years old, time to declutter. Reminds me, tomorrow is garbage day, time to head down into the basement and get red of those 32W jeans from high school.

I have a bunch compared to some and not many at all compared to others. I like all of them but about half of them are untouchable due to sentimentality.
