The original "Cobra" was a lightweight, alloy framed version of their snub nosed back-up revolver. This reincarnation is not light at all. Of the three I've held, the triggers, both single and double action were not smooth at all. The fit & finish was also lacking. I really wanted to like this gun, but, for me at least, it fell short. ************************************************ "Tonight, we are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom. I have two Kimber K6s’s, and they are in a class of their own, awesome revolvers, I also have the new Colt Cobra , and it is a nice gun, the trigger got better with use as most revolvers do, the cobra handles well and feels and fits my hand comfortably, it’s a fun gun to shoot and very accurate for its barrel length, the sights are great with the red fiber optic front sight, I like the new design of this Cobra, it’s a stronger gun than the earlier model, and the grip is a big improvement over the older model, all in all it’s not a K6S Kimber, and only handles up to 38 plus P, but then I use Buffalo Bore heavy 38 + P in my Kimber K6S, and the new Cobra is also a six shooter, all in all if you prefer a hammer, the Cobra is worth looking at as well as all the S&W offerings which have a lot to offer..
