I went with the regular 43 (actually traded my P365 for one) and haven’t looked back. To me the biggest plus for the regular 43 is that it works REALLY well for pocket and ankle carry. Those are my 2 main carry modes 95% of the time.

I use a Taran +1 all the time with it and their +2 on my reload mags. The TTI +1 is barely bigger than the factory flat baseplate and gives me more purchase without affecting concealability.

I’m more than happy with my 43 - it’s filled the hole for my single stack carry needs.

Here's a quick pic of a G43 with a Taran Tactical +1 mag base, a G43 with a Vickers +2, and a G43X I picked-up this week but haven't yet shot. (Hopefully to be remedied today.)

Although they're kind of spendy, I like the Taran bases. They've survived several dozen mag drops, mostly on grass, but a few on asphalt. The Vickers does not strike me as being their equal in sturdiness.

The G43's have been my primary CCW for the last six months using AIWB, and they've really grown on me. We'll see how the 43X fares...
