...from not being used or so I'll keep telling myself that!

Bought a 1999 (or thereabouts) P245 & was able to pick it this past weekend.

Started by installing a new recoil spring which showed up on time and giving it a good cleaning/lubrication + polishing the feedramp.

Ran some ball ammo through it first to ensure proper functioning, then used my LSWC reloads @15yds.

Then @25yds; I still have work to do at 25yds Big Grin

Came back to 15yds and used my powder coated LSWC, interesting that it seemed to pattern more vertically but then again maybe I was getting used to it.

This will be a keeper/user!

the handle?... it's Latin for "Lover of the Bow".

Smallish package, a lot of punch. A great carry option during times of trouble.

Outstanding! One of my all time favorites. I recall when SIG did a P245 magazine dump for ten bucks each

You are a good man. Treat that P245 like it should be, shot.

Had a P220 long ago but sold it. Last year I picked up a P220 Carry, a custom shop pistol. Like the P245 but has been dehorned and feels like a bar of soap. Then around the holidays found a P220 SAO Compact. Uses a P245 slide mated to a P245 slide.

Didn’t one version of this have an extended non-moving beaver tail?

“Uses a P245 slide mated to a P245 slide.”

Now that’s a custom job I’d love to see Big Grin

In case you don't know, 220 compact mags fit and have a slightly larger floor plate.

I didn't know P220 magazines could be used in the P245 + X-Grip Adaptor

You don't even need an adapter if you don't mind the mag sticking out the bottom of the grip. I carry a full-size P220 mag as a reload for mine, and have shot the gun plenty that way without any negative impact on my shooting.

I don't like how the grip fits my hand. Seems like a 92 compact in that the heel digs in to the fat part of my lower palm and makes it uncomfortable to shoot. Both wear g10 grips.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

Shot mine today for a little bit. Did some close in draw and fire work on the clock then went back to 50 feet and shot some B8s. I worked on the transition from DA to SA some, too. The DA pull is nice and smooth and usually yields great results on target...SA I have an annoying tendency to feel the wall and then jerk through it it at the last second. I worked on gradually adding pressure on the SA pull right through the break, and when I did my part right I was more than pleased with how the gun put them on target. It's a very shootable gun for it's size in that caliber.

I own a German one with only 50 rounds through it. Sadly I will have to sell it soon. I guess a roof that dosn't leak is more important. But just barely...

10 round 220 extended fits also -- great little pistol , especially with g10's on it
