My new 365XL with Romeo Zero sights is a jewel. But I'm not sure if I trust the battery life as it is a "motion on" sight. If I carry it, which I like to do, it's always on. Why hasn't Sig Sauer made a Zero with an on-off switch? I have Romeo5's with that option, and nearly every other reflex and red dot sight does. Old, stubborn, heavily armed.

Every additional feature uses space, including an on/off switch. If you have to change the battery every month, so what? You can buy them off the internet by the dozen, cheaply.

There is an on/off button on the RomeoZero. It is the small dot inside the sight almost touching the window. You have to hold it down for a few seconds to turn it off or on.

and practical question, why would you ever want a carried gun to be off? “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.”

Just a thought on saving battery life. I am aware of the tiny switch next to the window, just impossible for me to get a finger on it, and using a pen top or similar makes me wary of marring the lens. Old, stubborn, heavily armed.

Not to mention that if you are in constant motion for 14 hours a day, 365, the battery should last nearly 4 YEARS. So given there is an on/off switch, the above battery life, and the reasonable question posed of why would you want a carry optic off, I’m not sure what the issue is?
