Here is another JH (1987) P226. Same dull appearance & characteristics as the JG P225 and hurstolds1's JH P226. A KB (1991) P226 by Klein below it. No true side-by-side pic, since I no longer own the JH, but the finish appearance difference is obvious. Q

There is just no certainty, here, so we probably will never know. Yes, it looks similarly dull to the other W. German confirmed factory finish guns. But, your box label doesn't say anything Nickel. Since there is no confirmation label, the only other way to confirm or refute it is that SIG digs into their old database to find the data for you. The factory Ni SIGs, as they came from W. Germany at the time, have their computer printout labels with either "EN" or "EL" on them. Q

It does definitely have more luster than the W. German Ni plated guns, but the appearance is just slightly different from the Klein guns, apparently because of the different compositions. Q

Great photos! Thanks for the "Nickel Knowledge". They all look really nice, but I think the West German finish looks the best.

Man, these photos are pure porn. I will get one of these guns one day. I have two two-tone nickel SIGs and a bunch of full NP3 ones. But a factory nickel is in my future.
