Legit reason not to buy P220 LEGION 10MM?
Tldr: is there a legit reason to avoid an sao p220 in 10mm. Like the complaints about sharp edges around the safety from SAO Beretta 92 owners, etc.

Looking for a used G41 I got an email about, that was of course sold out, I stumbled onto a Legion 220 SAO in 10mm. Most anything SAO is at least interesting to me and its a 5" with fixed sights. It is cut for a dot, however (not a fan, optic cover looks cheap) Also, I own no 10mm. Having to find/buy/store ammo for one more caliber is a major reason I haven't already bought the damn thing.

As I don't have an SAO P220, and I do in fact like my sigs both railed and tailed, is there any known reasons/defects or short comings to indicate I shouldn't buy this obviously unnecessary toy? All in should be $1050 & transfer...
Do they still come with the certificate for all the cheesy free stuff from the sig website. The case, coin, etc.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

While I can’t speak to the gun in question, beyond not really hearing anything systemically bad about it, the only reason I never dove into the 10mm pool is the cost and availability of ammo as well as the fact that so much of it is basically loaded to .40 S&W levels. I like .40 but I don’t want to shoot it labeled 10mm.

A box of the Underwood 200-grain heaters is reason enough to own a 10mm handgun.

I just asked myself this same question last week. I have wanted an Sig P220 in 10mm ever since they were announced. I prefer the traditional Sig DA/SA action. For some reason, the SAO Legion has been very reasonably priced for the past few weeks. Since this is not a gun I would carry, I finally took the plunge and won a Buy It Now on Gunbroker for $999. Couldn’t pass up that price to add to my 10mm collection. Hopefully I can add a DA/SA model at some point.

As for the free swag, you just create an account on the Sig site and register the serial number. I did that on Thursday and got a shipping notice on Friday. This is my second Sig 10mm in 2 months. I found a hardly used X-Ten at my local store for $629 in August.

I do not have the SAO (mine is da/sa) but it is very pleasant to shoot. It is a beast and very heavily sprung. But it is a soft shooter. I added a dot and enjoy shooting it.
