How popular is the Glock 43X? Login/Join

I have a friend who would like to sell me his brand new never fired Glock 43X. I think I might like to try it, but I'm curious as to how popular this gun is should I not like it and opt to "re-home" it. Razz

Any input would be appreciated.

Guns are awesome because they shoot solid lead freedom. Every man should have several guns. And several dogs, because a man with a cat is a woman. Kurt Schlichter

The fact that it is "brand new, never fired" only means that he's not likely to let you try it before you buy it. Smile

Still, I'd try to buy it as if it was a used gun. If you buy it for what you think you can "re-home" it for... you don't have to worry about whether or not you will like it.

It's like buying a used car... and I know you know plenty about that. Razz

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."

It's a popular gun and in stock in every LGS there is. I rented one twice. I don't know what resale is like, but it will sell.

I have a standard 43. I like it because it does not print on my shirt. The 43x, has more capacity but it is 'taller' by 3/4" However, I like how it feels. But I have not carried one.

Slim, compact, easy to carry, a little bit taller than the 43.

I have one and like it. I'm not a great shot but shoot it about as well as my G19 out to about 40 feet.

Bought a 48 and converted my 43 to the 43X and it's my carry, I prefer the larger grip of the X and the extra rounds, plus I can go back to the smaller 43 if I need to conceal something smaller overall.

Its a glock so it works...

I did the same and it's great that it still fits my 43 holster. I don't find the extra length in the grip a deterrent to conceal, but I guess that depends on how you carry. Great gun. Go for it.

For no other reason than I clicked on the wrong section. Can you move it for me to the Sig Pistols section where it belongs?

I really like the model, although I don't own one. I will probably get one eventually as they are like any other Glock, quality and tough. I like the way it feels better than the 43 I owned. You just have to decide if it is for you.

You appear to have already edited what I originally posted. Do I need to do something more?

I have a hyve +4 extension on my regular 43 and enjoy it. Only reason I went this route instead of the 43x is because the 43x didn’t exist when I added extension to 43.

Seems pretty popular. The black slide 43X's, I think are a lot more popular than the silver slide ones, now that black is available. I have silver in the 43X and 48, but would have preferred black.

It clean up nicely, though.

I carry it in smart carry as well and I'm loving the 43x.

I sold mine a few months ago. Nothing wrong with it, but I carried my P365 more. Especially since they released the 15 round mags.

I will eventually get another one. I don't think you will go wrong. I had to replace my trigger shoe as the factory one would tear my finger up about 50 plus rounds.
