Peace through superior firepower |
Looks like shit. On top of that, drop that pistol in the sand or dirt or mud and see how much more easily malfunction-inducing debris jams it up. There was a time when SIG could have done just fine with only rudimentary marketing, such as ads in periodicals. Back then, the product sold itself, but that is not what's going on these days. It cannot be argued that SIG-Sauer is satisfying a desire with these video game-looking versions of pistols intended self-defense. I imagine that the younger SIG enthusiasts among us, the ones who don't rememmber the classic SIG period of the 1980s and 90s, are more likely to feel differently than I, but, really, this needs to stop. Typically the response to such a lament is "Well, SIG sells everything they make." Fine, then getting back to making pistols for serious purposes shouldn't be a problem. | |||
