So.. I put a PolyDat trigger into my new Gen 5 G19 and when I was putting it back together, I managed to dislodge the tiny spring on the ambi slide release lever. The good news: I did not lose the spring. The bad news: I cannot get the tiny spring to go back into the slide release. Anyone ever do this? And how in hell did you get this tiny spring back in place? I looked on the gun plumbers online problem fixing site - YouTube - and found nothing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Push out the trigger pin, remove the locking block so you can remove the slide stop and replace the spring.

This is the way. On the front of the slide stop lever there's a gap between an upper and lower tab. Stick the bottom of the spring on the lower tab, then compress the spring until you can slip the top of the spring onto the upper tab too. Worst case scenario, if it's still too fiddly for you to reinstall, you can buy a whole new Gen 5 slide stop lever for ~$10 and it will come with a spring installed. Part #47247

Ghost has the tiny springs for 3 bucks. I will order 3 of them as I figure once I get started to put the spring back in place, they will launch into a parallel universe. The OEM Slide Release is 10 bucks but an extended one is 30 bucks. I will try to reinstall the spring when I get the Ghost ones in hand. Cant hurt to have a few extra. I did see where a Gen 4 single sided Slide Release works fine in the Gen 5 frame. I tried it out and it works! End of Earth: 2 Miles Upper Peninsula: 4 Miles
