Very nice, here's my 17-2 with the grips supplied by Beltfed21, it came with rubber grips, the wood looks better. Update 1955 vintage production.. This message has been edited. Last edited by: HRK,

I purchased a Model 17-3 about 1974. Brand new, target hammer and trigger. It had the standard grips, but I traded them to the dealer for a set of target grips. K-22s were not easy to find then.I still have it. I have no idea how many rounds I have put thru it. That was one of my best gun purchases. You will be very happy with it. Congratulations.

Fuzzy Farrant, that's a name not heard often anymore (if ever) don't have a pic, but my 17-? full lug, standard target stocks, and a heckofa trigger job is way way more accurate that I ever will be https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

Love those S&W .22's....but prefer the shorter bbl. for field carry...S&W called it the Model 18...Best regards and Merry Christmas, Rod 5th Spl Forces, Air Force Bird Dog FAC, lll Corps RVN 69-70.... Wow, very nice. I'd love to find one of those around my parts. So come on, how many $$ did that thing set you back? Sometimes, you gotta roll the hard six

I picked up a new 17–9 back in 2021 and paid $756. At the time I wanted a 22 revolver with a 6 inch barrel, I really wanted one of the stainless steel models with the full lug, but could not find any nearby, and if I could, they were hundreds of dollars more. One of my favorite 22 pistols to shoot always goes bang and is a tach driver.

Bought one years ago at our club, a members father had passed away and it was pretty much a fire sale. Accurate as all get out but has some pretty tight chambers, i use match .22 and no issues

Love the 17 here. I picked up a 1947 or ‘48-vintage K22 a short while back that has become a favorite. It’s great on its own at the range and even better as a warm-up when shooting centerfire DA revolvers. Shown here with a set of period-correct Target stocks, the gun came to me with its original Magna stocks (serial-numbered to the gun). Yes, the same with mine. The stocks shown in the photo are serial'd, and they are off one of the first Combat Magnums.
