Has any one had to replace their hammer spring do to high number of rounds fired. The wife has over 8,000 through her P238 and the last time at the range she had some failure to fire problems. This could be just a gripping problem but I am wondering if the springs are needing replaced. Has anyone shot over 8000 rounds or more with replacing any of the springs.

If your wife put 8000 rounds through it I doubt whether she just developed a gripping problem. More than likely a wear problem ....that’s a lot of rounds!

Could be. I'd check the firing pin first.
