It's still in the catalog in 9mm, and available through GUNS.com, etc. but it's not all that common to find at a local dealer. I've heard here and there (mostly here at SIG Forum) that it will be quietly allowed to go.
^^That's true. I've read, but can't confirm as the links were in French, but the French national police forces were going with a French license built G17 to replace the SP 2022s. About 400K of them. Will look for it though.
ETA: couldn't find the info on the police replacement handgun. The French Army G17 is Austrian made; the French national armory made licensed Beretta 92s on the previous issue. This message has been edited. Last edited by: rat2306,

These AI-voiced videos are hilarious and annoying and I avoid most of them but it was pretty spot on. When Exeter took over the production of the sigpro, the fit and finish suffered, although it is still a good pistol, it's not quite the same as what the French had. I hope we haven't heard the last of the sp2022. It certainly made SIG a lot of money.
and in case you've never seen this Sp2022 ASMR video, here ya go
