Some people feel the P239 is the best pistol Sig ever made. Yes, they are reliable. Accurate? Generally, the limitation is the shooter.

Remember, as we discussed some months ago, that P239 magazines and parts are a challenge to find. I don't know why you would need parts, but it is a concern to some. I enjoyed toting a P239 for months. I did sell it as I realized it was large and heavy compared to other choices.

The first P-239 I had, which was 357 SIG, I remember taking to the range and shooting a bucket at 100 yards, hitting it with ease.

Been carrying that very gun in DAK for over 7 years as one of two issued duty pistols (the other is a DAK P229, also in .357 Sig).

With just a bit of training gets one used to the trigger pretty quick, also. Never got why folks carped about the DAK so much, it's actually pretty nice once you understand it.

It's balls accurate and after several thousands of rounds, I've never had one even burp, nor have I seen a hiccup from any other P239 being used on the range. The bottlenecked Sig round really does aid in feeding. Additionally, mags are slim and easy to pocket.

Probably not a great gun for those with small hands or those built very slight... it is a bit bulky and is certainly no P365, but that bulk is a plus to me, as the weight of the pistol helps it eat recoil. I cannot imagine trying to fire a P365 sized polystriker chambered in Sig's hot little round, that would be zero fun.

In sum, it's a smooth, reliable, powerful, easy to shoot handheld tank for those with the personal size to tote and use it. Go for it.

A big yes to reliability, and accuracy - relevant to the shooter's ability of course. Cool

Mine wasn't DAO, so I can't speak to that.

The P239 I had was 357SIG, and I was very accurate with it, especially when I put some Hogue rubber grips on it. Loved shooting it.

I have small hands. That gun fit me like a glove. I know that's a cliche', but in this case it's true. One of the best fitting handgun I've owned.

I am a double action single action carrier... but I will say that I often find that I'm just as accurate with double action only.

239 in 357sig. Yes, they are reliable and accurate. Also, they are pure misery to shoot.

Is it a DAO or actually a DAK? Some use terms
interchangeably. Personally, I wouldn't buy one due to parts lack of availability, especially mags!
Add to that, I don't like either DAO or DAK triggers! IF you could source parts, you could have it converted to DA/SA, could convert to 40 or 9
with proper barrels and mags; but then you'd have too much money tied up in it! There are better,
more cost effective choices out there!

I bought a new P239 SAS just prior to SIG discontinuing them, along with 2 repair kits. Chambered in .357 SIG, it's the only way to fly.

Tusk, I'd like the egg on my face scrambled, please
Didn't look to see if they had 9 or 40 versions?
Have done business with Gun Mag Warehouse several
times and they are great to do business with.

Jerry, save the eggs for breakfast. Sig has discontinued the pistol so you’re main point was correct. They do still appear to be producing mags but it seems they’re doing it in batches. They go in and out of stock pretty regularly at places like mag warehouse and most of them will let you sign up for “in stock” notification. Here’s some 9’s if you need them.
