I finally found a full size 227 last week to compliment my 227 carry. I ordered this 227 grip bushing kit from Osage and got the $18 grips from EBAY. I cut them down like may others here have done but I left a little more material on the rear to aid in the grip feel and it feels almost like a flared magwell when inserting mags. I think these 227s are under appreciated guns.

I have never owned, nor shot a P227 but the one I handled FELT FANTASTIC. It was always on my "list" but I never got around to it. "Guns are tools. The only weapon ever created was man."

Bolo4tom... my P227 is not under appreciated. I have the Nitron Carry model. congrats on your new addition. Very soon a lot of full size ones (227's with Pa. Logo) will be relinquished by Pa. State Police . I don't know if those guns will ever be sold on the commercial market. They will have a lot of life left in them. I think they are switching to the 320 in 9mm. I got to shoot one of those a while back, and they are great shooting guns. Like a 226, but it makes bigger holes .

Nice going Bolo... I've got the SAS and it, along with the CZ97, are two of my favorite 45's. Both very smooth shooters. Very nice! I want one but they are hard to find right now. I should have jumped when CDNN had some trade-ins. -------------------------------------------- Floridian by birth, Seminole by the grace of God
