I’d leave it alone. You would never recoup what you spend if you sell it. If you just want it to look pretty, for you, I got it. But, since you only doing the slide, I’d just find a local gunshop that does hot blueing. You could refinish the slide yourself. Or, at least prep it to save money. Just various grits of emery cloth and a sheet of glass to keep everything dead flat.
No need to find a master gun restorer for the project. Unless, of course you want to.

Thank you.. I might give it a shot and see if I can clean it up myself. I was concerned about damaging the Beretta bluing.
Thought about having CCR do the slide and barrel in CPII, but I'd like to keep it all blued.
Money isn't the issue. I've spent a lot more and sold for a lot less in the past. But the guns I have now will be given to my kids when the time comes.

The left side of the slide looks pitted, even going into the letter stamping and slide serrations. If this is not a trick of the lighting and it really is pitted, don't bother refinishing it. All you'll get is shiny pitting. It also looks too deep to polish.
