| My GP100 3 inch Wiley Clapp is perhaps my favorite wheelgun I have ever owned. It isn't the smoothest or best trigger it is just a combination of everything just works well.
This thread is going to make me buy the 8 shot Redhawk. |

| Bought me the 2 1/2" today. Has to ship across state lines though so I don't get to get my mitts on it til Thursday probably.

GP are good guns. Enjoy!
I'm the opposite. Those original rubber grips with their thinner walls contributed to my 3" GP100 splitting the webbing of my strong hand wide open. A literal bloody mess. Very little pain at the time, but waiting for it to completely heal I couldn't shoot handguns of any type for almost a month without breaking the wound open again. And as a healing wound it positively HURT to shoot any pistol chambered larger than a .22LR. Good practice to see how I'd shoot under painful duress? Hell no it wasn't. Plus marking the rest of my guns with Type O isn't my idea of personalizing them as my own. Finally had to wait close to a month before it healed well enough so I could shoot without the skin breaking. Lesson learned. With my small mitts I'll kindly take the fugly Overmolds for .357MAG recoil every day twice over and then ten times again. Or even mismatch with the Match Champion wood stocks; at least with those I can get a firmer purchase on the GP100. If only those inset grips didn't have those scalloped zones at its top and a little more padding at the top of the backstrap. |

| Is it my imagination, or did Ruger REALLY beef up the frame going from 6 to 7 shot version?
And while the 2.5"er is cute, they need a 3"er. |

I located a Wiley Clapp - 3" 7-shot at the LGS ---appears to be a 2022 manuf - is anyone aware of the ammo-binding issue and if still a problem?

| The rim binding on the 7-shot GP-100 was only with certain ammo with rims at or larger than SAAMI spec(don’t remember which ones were suspect). But Ruger has fixed that. I have both a 6-shot and 7-shot, and I can not tell any difference in accuracy. I really like my 7-shot(and the standard 6-shot!) a lot. Both are good guns that you will never wear out.

| Lol. You do know your hammer pin is all fucked up in that picture right?
My Wiley Clapp GP is my favorite revolver I own. That being said I sure would prefer adjustable sights over the Novaks. |

| I’m sure most of you GP100 guys know this but I will throw it out anyway. Drop a set of the Compact GP100 grips on the shorter barreled ones. They are significantly smaller but still give a great grip and as an added bonus aesthetically they look better. It’s a size thing, the full size grips are just so big. Try it. |
