It’s heavy and large for the caliber and capacity.

It’s older, so mags and parts are harder to come by.

And even today, pulling it from a holster is like pulling Excalibur from the stone...

The P225 is a classic. I had one and thought it was great, but I carried it in the waistband once without a holster and my sweat caused instant oxidation. I cleaned it up, but I didn't like that it was so delicate so I sold it.

It was one I should have kept. It is on my list of classic P series Sigs to own (again) including a P228 and P226.

I would do a full frame and slide detail strip and replace any parts that look worn. That roll pin does look odd. I'd wager someone has already been up in them guts.

I haven't attempted to take the roll pin out yet. I'm debating working on the slide myself vs sending it off to be refinished. Does sig still service these older guns or should I look at another gunsmith.
Any recommendations?

Very good condition was a bit of an exaggeration. Internally it's great. Rails are in great shape. The outside condition has some character but nothing I can't live with. Got it for 400 and I'm happy.
I need to figure out how to post pics.

$400 for a decent shape classic Sig...you can't do better than that. Congratulations!

One of my favorite handguns P225. Here's my Herndon P225 plus a P6 to hold you over till you get yours.

Love the classic P225. Just need to make time for them to go to the range.

Found this poor thing a few year back in a case with an improperly installed hammer reset spring (probably after the cerakote?). I believe there were 500 of the M675 in 2009 (sold by TGS). Great gun, glad I found one

Q,
I’ve got to ask: who made the wooden grips in your first P225 photo?

^^^^ Those are hen's teeth made by Nill. Extremely hard to find. Bought them from member C_Swimm a while ago, who, IIRC, obtained them when he was stationed in Germany. Nill don't even make these SIG logo grips any more.

@ SigSentry: I've never heard the term "M675". What does that mean?
