Since I've somehow unknowingly migrated over to almost an entirely S&W personal defense line up I figured I might as well get their actual full sized handgun and give it a whirl. For context I used to carry a Walther PPS M2 LE, and replaced it with a S&W M&P Shield Plus Performance Center 4" and it's been great. The misses carried a Ruger LCP II, then the LCP MAX, then most recently the S&W Bodyguard 2.0. We used to have some large format pistols has home defense setups, then when the brace rules started getting weird we transitioned over to the S&W FPC's. The misses really likes shooting them and can rip pretty good with one. Of course like everyone I also have a S&W full sized wheel gun in .357/.38, but doesn't everyone? I still use CZ primarily for my war belt setup/gun games, but I figured I'd give their full sized pistol a go. This is the one I ended up with: https://www.smith-wesson.com/p...ry-comp-od-green-fde Figured I'd try a color this time to mix it up a little bit. Hopefully I'll get to shoot it over the next few weeks. It came with 4 mags which is nice and all the mags for the FPC's fit as well so that's a bonus. My question is which color light would look the best on it? This one is listed as FDE: https://www.streamlight.com/im...er&sfvrsn=eeb3a5f0_0 This one is listed as FDE Brown: (basically burnt bronze) https://www.streamlight.com/im...er&sfvrsn=c8b3a5f0_0 IDPA ESP SS

I like that green/tan color combo! A metal framed and optic ready M&P 2.0 is on my "potentially buy" list one of these days, though it'd probably be a 4" Compact. I have a 1.0 Subcompact and a 2.0 Compact already, but both are polymer framed, and neither have optic cuts. Though may just end up sending off the 2.0 4" to get cut. Not sure if the metal frame is worth the added cost of a whole new and partially redundant gun. Neither of those lights will be an exact match, as it's different material with a different coating/coloration from the handgun slide. And aluminum anodizing shades are notoriously fickle and hard to match, even from batch to batch of the same product. That said, the second one will be a bit darker and more like a Coyote Brown. The photos of your handgun from the S&W site makes it seem like a lighter shade of FDE. So I'd go with the first option.

So how does it shoot? I’m intrigued by these, not that I need it but… My daughter can deflate your daughter's soccer ball.

I bought one of these a couple months ago. First time shooting a comp'd pistol and it does shoot quite nicely. The trigger was a bit heavy for my tastes so an Apex trigger was installed. It is now my EDC.
