SIGWolf,

"Seems like a huge oversight to come out with a premier $2K (MSRP) gun and not have factory mags available for it. But I expect its for the same reasons the gun was delayed in the first place."

Perhaps a lot like most of the Bren Ten pistols shipping without any magazines? But you did get coupons for magazines with the pistol. And >snap<, they were out of business.

That full size looks like “big iron” for sure. They both look great.

Those are beautiful guns. I saw both at the store yesterday and have to admit I couldn’t stop thinking about the compact all night. It fit so well in my hand.

That and along with the weight and balance has me thinking on what can I sell to pay for it.

The price tag is a bit spendy on them.

Fit and finish on my compact is very nice. I only have 3 mags for it but will try to shoot at least a hundred rounds tonight. I already have four mecgar mags for it. My Henning baseplates will be here Saturday for them so I will shoot more this weekend.

Fits my Desantis holster from my Prodigy. Kind of. I ordered a holster from ANR.

I took my DWX Compact to the range today as well. It now has 300 rounds thru it, 50 from today. Interesting that you had only one time with it not going into battery as it was a problem for me today. Out of 50 rounds, I’d say a good half we not cycling into battery.

Things to note: I did not clean the gun from the last range trip where I shot 100 rounds. Experienced 1 out of battery that day. The lube used is the TW-25 and admittedly was a little light on the rails. Lastly, I’m using reloads 124gr fmj with 5.0gr WSF powder.
Think I’ll clean it up and try Slide Glide lite with factory ammo next time to see if it cycles better.

^^^^ Grease was the trick. The Slide Glide worked perfectly. Also, the factor ammo cycled as its supposed to. Still had two rounds that failed to go into battery with the hand loads tho.

OP WRT drills, I use the 5 x 5 drill ( or 5/5/5) whenever I go to the range.

5rounds in 5 seconds, at 5 yards (and the target is a 5” circle)

https://www.luckygunner.com/lo...ng-better-5x5-drill/
I saw it at Lucky Gunner, and it’s sorta like a Bill Drill but not the same..the target is not a A zone of a USPSA target.

Do it cold
Once you get that down pat, do it from the holster
If you wanna make it more difficult go back to the 7 yard line

I've been using my ancient tube of EWG to grease my rails for a long time with no issues. I did just order some Hurleys Gold to try.

I recently went from oil to grease on all centerfire rails. And yes, my jar of grease will definitely last 45 years.
