I’m excited for its arrival. I’ve been waiting for the black ice rapide in 45 to show up at distributors since I saw it at the shot show and was cruising through websites and noticed one in 10mm available so I grabbed it.
I’ve never had a 1911 in 10mm, but I’ve had other things (glock 20, xdm, etc)
My question is does anybody else own a kimber rapide black ice in 10mm? How do you like it? Or just thoughts on 10mm 1911 in general I’m sure there’s plenty of 10mm 1911 owners of any type here.

I love Kimber 1911's, they have always worked well for me. When you get it you'll have to let me know how the recoil is cause I bought the Sig TacOps version cause no one had a Kimber in-stock. The Sig's recoil is stupid with the stock grips making it no fun to shoot.
The Black Ice Rapide looks like a cheaper version of the Ed Brown FX4 though.

Probably no place for this but sometimes I need to rant. The first week in Feb. I ordered a Kimber Aegis Pro 9mm. They said 4-8 weeks. 4-8 weeks passed . . . No gun then Kimber in NY shut down. Not a happy guy. But as my sarcastic LGS owner remarked, "Gee was that going to be your only gun?"

With KIMBER in the process of moving operations from NY to AL, the delay is inevitable. I just ordered some parts which took two weeks vs the usual one week or less. Their online parts show 'not in stock' because of the move and inventory/parts between two locations.
