Go ahead punk, make my day |
If you are going to mount a light / laser, the SIG rail will be an issue, you can likely find a mounting plate or some such thing if you do. Holsters might be an issue with the SIG rail as well. For $100 more you can get a new SP2022 in 40S&W if that matters, with night sights and 2 mags. https://tsswarehouse.com/shop/...-sauer-e2022-40-bss/

It matters..I really didn’t want a .40 but if this was a good deal I thought wth. I have a 2022 9m I bought here, it is a great shooter. I appreciate your input. I’m going to pass on this. Merry Christmas

Sounds like a good deal to me, condition dependent, of course. I bought several well used 2340's in .40. Sort of a polymer P229. Decent pistols.

That's just the Flomax talking |
The SP2340 is a decent handgun. Are you happy with DAO? It is unlikely that you will be able to change that.

When I read your OP last night, my first thought was about the 40 caliber, I don't care for it. But not knowing if you already owned a 40, I didn't want to trash the caliber. I didn't want to be 'that' guy.. I've bought and eventually sold a few 40s, even after buying 357sig barrels for them. In the end, I'm down to 380, 9mm, 45ACp, and a few revolver calibers... Merry Christmas..

I get what you are sayin, right now though 40 ammo, and 40 guns are cheap. stupidly cheap. I look at like i would a good surplus gun. If the quality of the gun is good enough I will bite. Thread the barrel (even if extended) 40 with 180 grain bullets makes a fine suppressed gun. I had 1 40 for nearly 25 years. My HK USP. This year i have added 3 more. 2 of those now have 357 sig barrels. I am waiting on my cans to get out of jail.

I too had a Swiss framed 2340 and always wanted a .357 barrel for it. It served as my house gun for 2 years. Even fed my cast bullets well. I had a Laser Devices laser on mine which locked on rock solid and had ambi switches for the trigger finger. It was a excellent little pistol.
