I fell in love with my LCP Max 380 ACP and, on a lark I guess, I ordered a Ruger Max-9 from Bud's. I am impressed so far, since for 4 bills it came with a red dot of sorts, no battery, at least I think not, and it feels better to my old eyes than any of the others I have/had. Trigger pull is longer than my P365, but about as light, the gun seems a bit lighter overall, too. I'd never seen one of these anywhere, so it truly was a lark. I'll shoot it tomorrow and see if it works. My only complaint is UPS seems to hang up my guns somewhere for a day or so at a time. This gun took four days, an extra day in two different places, for the "2 day" shipping. I joined Team Buds today to see if that helps as they claim they ship the next day after an order. I'm down to smaller guns for carry in Florida (and it seems hotter sooner this year than before). I'm kinda doubting this would replace a single-stack Glock or my 365s, but I'll see. Was wondering (and shoulda asked before ordering) if anyone has a Max-9 and how they like it. Bob

I bought one on a whim at my local place about 5 months ago, they had them on sale for $249 so I thought I’d give it a whirl. I haven’t put a lot of rounds thru it but it’s been gtg so far. I went into it not really wanting to like it but I find myself going wow, it’s a lot better than I expected. It feels a bit on the cheaper side but I shoot it really well. I haven’t put enough rounds thru it see if it’ll break, less than 350 or so right now but for a red dot capable gun with surprisingly decent sights I quite happy with the purchase.

I replaced the stock trigger with one from Galloway precision. Now it’s a great little gun and awesome value for the price.. ______________________________________________ Life is short. It’s shorter with the wrong gun…
