My prettiest 1911 yet! I LOVE Springfield Armory Custom Shop!

For ME:
DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm
If it's a .45= 1911
Suppressed= HK in .45
I like anything in 10mm

Nice looking pistol.
Is the barrel national match or stock?
How does it shoot?

What's custom--what's different than a standard Garrison?

I see front strap checkering and a mag funnel, at the very least. That is a VERY nice pistol, OP! I'm a big fan of the Garrison...almost everything I want in a 1911 and nothing I don't. The only thing missing on a standard Garrison is front strap checkering, and yours takes care of that. Nicely done!

I’d like to hear more details, I read somewhere that the S/A Custom Shop wasn’t taking orders. Obviously I read wrong. I especially like the single sided safety.

If its remotely affordable, I would like to do the same with my Garrison. Were the MIM parts replaced?
How much $$$ did the work cost?

-20 LPI front strap checkering
-Replaced slide stop
-Fixed sticking mag release button
-Refinished gun
I swear the gun wasn't quite this tight when I sent it to them. Zero and I mean ZERO slide to frame slop. Again ZERO movement when pressing down on the barrel hood.
I installed the SS Magwell and grips. Did not replace MIM parts. According to Hilton Yam from 10-8 Performance Springfield's MIM parts are good quality. Haven't even shot it yet. I sent it straight to SACS the day after I bought it. I just wanted a classy, classic looking 1911. The Garrison is a perfect base gun for that. I'd prefer not to tell you what I paid. Every custom job will be different and I do not want to step on their toes. I will say it wasn't bad at all. Turn around time was like 5-6 weeks considering I sent it in right before the holidays I consider that excellent. Springfield's customer service is FANFRIGGINTASTIC!!! Their work is even better!

DA/SA=Sig 9mm or HK P30 LEM 9
Striker fired= Glock 9mm

Speaking of the Garrison, I just got an email from Springfield showing a new Commander length Garrison.

So, what else were customized, beside the checkered front strap and the funnel.
