Ran across some mags at local gun shop. Most are parkerized (sp). One of them was blue finish, all floor plates are marked properly. One of them had the Sig Sauer marking on the left side of the Mag. Shop was wanting $60.00 each.... What is the going price for these mags???? All of them were in excellent shape... Thanks..

Sounds about right these days for P6/P225 mags.

Last time I saw P-6 mags at that price they had serious cosmetic issues, auction sites they run close to $100, member recently listed some for $70 each on Sig Forum classifieds. I'd definitely bite at $60 each at the lgs.

Sadly, $60 is a pretty good deal, especially if they're in good shape. I guess it's not so bad in perspective...Sig is charging $50 for P320 mags, and those are still in production.
Wolff Gunsprings does still sell springs for a reasonable price if you're looking to rehab any of your existing mags.

I love Sig Sauers guns but I hate Sig Sauers obvious money grabs and lack of legacy support.
None more than when they realized there was a market for the P225 and so they released the P225A1 with an incompatible magazine.
Meanwhile the mags that came with the Gen 5 G19 I bought last year work perfectly in the Gen 3 G19 I bought about 15 years ago, and the mags from my Beretta M9A4 work perfectly in the 92fs I bought 20 years ago.

If you just need extra mags for the range, you can use a Walther P38 mag and cut a notch for the mag release button. The mags are near identical. The only real differences are that the p38 mags are about 1/4 inch longer so with the mag notch cut in the correct position, the mag sticks out a 1/4 when in a P6. Cartridge placement and angles are the same.
I had a p38 mag I cut notch in and tested and the only issue I had was the slide did not always lock back on empty because there is a tiny metal fold on the P6 mag follower that engages the slide lock a tiny bit sooner than the P38 mag follower. I put a drop of epoxy on the the edge of the follower to replicate the P6's bump and it worked 100% at locking the slide. Obviously this was not my carry defense mag, nor should it be yours, but it worked great for range use and p38 mags are cheap.
I used this modified mag in my p6 a long time for an extra range mag until I found a good deal on more P6 mags. Then I retired it back to my p38.

I may get flamed, ha. But if you need a mag or 2 just for the range, the ProMags in this single stack configuration has worked for me. Guess they aren't that cheap either. Generally though, ProMag is to be avoided if at all possible. Ymmv.

Checked GB and Ebay, average price $100 and climbing with a small number of listings. P-6/P-225 are keepers with little turnover due to their popularity of being excellent CCW. IMO P-38 and ProMag mags not a good option if intended for CCW, $35 Ebay BIN for two mags a once in a lifetime fluke. I wouldn't hesitate for long at $60 each at the LGS.

Thanks everyone for your input on this subject. They are in excellent condition, I have several mags, just looking for some ideas if this price is in line as to whether or not to pick up some more... Thanks again

I couldn't get P.38 mags to function in my P225 FWIW... and I couldn't get a P225 follower to fit into a P.38 magazine. IIRC

I sold these three P225 mags in the forum 19 years ago, 35 bucks for the three, plus shipping. I recall the member thanking me for the good deal. I thought my price was fair, but not a bargain.

19 years ago, weren't LE trade-in P6s selling for around $300?

I have a ProMag brand for the P6, anyone need one for your P6? I can ship to you for free, you paid maybe $10 for the USPS shipping cost.

I bought my first P-6 (95% gun) for $195, and my second one (90% gun) for $225. I still have both!! Perhaps the best gun buy that I have ever made!!

I believe I picked up the holster and carriers from JG 10 years ago or so. They fit p239 mags well (mag holders that is).

I remembering buying my P6 around 20 years or so ago for $350 from a place called military gun supply, I hand picked it for quality and a certain date it had on the slide.
At this point, $60 a pop is good for a LGS find on P6 magazines though.

Holy smokes.
A couple of years ago, I bought a P225 from a fellow forum member in Columbus.
The price was very reasonable, considering it came with 5 mags, 4 of which I believe are P6 mags.
