There was a time when P7s that were hard chromed were called "BBQ guns". It's either that or live with a plum finish.

Mars_AttacksI had one. I had to sell it to fund Tab's chemo.
It was an absolutely amazing pistol.

fischtown7Neat tricks you can do with P7, release slide with the squeeze cocker, also you can pull trigger and then pull the squeeze cocker to fire the pistol.
Supposedly there are stories of LEO being saved after being disarmed by perps not knowing how to use them.

MacGyver^^^Good thing those LEOs who taped down their squeeze-cockers never got disarmed...

I read about that and tried it. Did not work with my PSP. Perhaps only on the newer M8/M13.

Hmmm, as I have retired, become a “senior citizen”, and have more guns and ammo than I will probably ever shoot, for those prices I may just have to think hard about letting mine go.
About 16 years ago old SF member P220ST (Dancing tomato) got a batch of surplus PSP’s he sold a bunch of us in the $500ish(?) range and I snapped one up. A few months later, a local store had a P7M8 I got a crazy sweet deal on, used in excellent condition for $750 with three months of free range visits. Only knock was no box. It came with two mags and I picked up a couple more. Best part is I sold the PSP FTF locally for a $200 profit, so the upgrade to the M8 was less than $100 out of pocket.

VaftocrLove the Porsche analogy but…it’s definitely the nostalgia for me. The P7 is the gun that made me fall in love with HK pistols. I never bought the P7 as I couldn’t afford one back in the day. I have many other HKs at this point but still have not come around to buying a P7.

Ranger41One of 5000 blued P7M10s. Frame refinished in green for some reason. Ugliest version of the P7 series due to the added weight in the slide to handle the extra recoil of the .40 caliber round.

BoonerWhen I bought my P7s (PSP) an "A" grade was 459.00, and the "B" grades were slightly cheaper. A local seller had several large wooden trunks loaded with German Police P7s in their individual boxes. He let several of us root through them and hand select the ones we wanted. I bought two "A" grade pistols. One is in it's box in my safe, the other was turned into a "B" grade via lots of carry and shooting.

Dusty78The M8 is my favorite pistol of all time. I purchased 3 in the last 8 days (two Chantilly’s once of which is new old stock, the other has wear and will be heading to CCR later this week after I shoot it.) The last one is a later Sterling that’s like new but no box (that one hasn’t arrived yet.)
While on the subject do you guys know what M13 mags are going for these days? Newer ones and the LEO only ones?

Haha that’s actually me. I listed them last night. People on gunbroker are listing them for $400 which I think is insane.

That's when I bought, kicking myself that I only bought one.

You may have trouble moving them at that price. As I recall, the LE-marked ones usually go for less than the unmarked ones; there was a recent (earlier this year) batch of fresh, unmarked M13 mags on GB for $200 each. They didn't go too quickly either.

ridewvI rounded up a few images of some of mine that I accumulated years ago. All are complete with boxes.

I believe this is the P7 "A grade".
One of the final 500. Unfortunate about the engraving on the slide IMO.

Thanks. I won’t be too upset if I don’t sell them. The P7Pro M13 might be in my future.
