I have one. Lightweight, I quite like it. I prefer the CCO style 1911 for concealed carry; officer size frame with commander length slide and barrel. Two weak links for the 1911 are the extractor and the magazine feedlips. The magazine issue is fixed with quality magazines, and the C3 incorporates an external extractor, superior to the bent-tension traditional 1911 extractor.

The last C3 I had (Last Year) was trouble prone! I had inertia feeding problems.. No matter what I did; heavier recoil spring, small radius FPS, Wilson Combat Bullet Proof slide stop, heavier main spring, heavier firing spring, Wilson Combat magazines, full length recoil spring rod with flat wire recoil spring....Finally dumped the Chump!
I purchased the Springfield Armory LW Compact Range Officer and nay a problem...
Maybe I just had a lemon but I'll never know because I will never, ever buy another one.

I've had one for a couple of years. I bought mine used, and it had clearly been stored in a very dusty environment, but not shot much. I completely cleaned it inside and out, took it to gunsmithing school and worked on it on the side. I polished everything inside, peened the trigger to take out the play, and cut the barrel's bell at the muzzle back a bit to unlock quicker. It has been 100% reliable with the ammo it likes. The feed ramp is a little shallow and it doesn't like 185gr +P loads. No issues with 230gr Critical Defense or ball. I like it a lot, but figure I should probably be carrying a 1911 I built, rather than just one I tuned. If I can't find a new home for it, I may put in a ramped barrel, re-anodize the frame, replace all the MIM parts, and either make it a carry comp or use a Marvel tapered sleeve on the barrel.

A C3 is one of very few guns I truly regret selling. Mine was flawless in the time that I had it.
We talked about C3s on the SF Zoom meeting last night. I'd love to get another one, one day. Especially if they ever make one in 9mm.

That was one I regret not buying. The early version was extremely well priced, plus they even came with a CT grip laser. Then SIG dropped the laser but kept the price the same, not quite the value as before but still a good deal. But alas, other options got in the way and I never got around to picking one up. I've talked with customers who own the gun and in the years since I haven't heard a bad thing about theirs. Oh well, just rub it in whydontcha...

Regret is such a bad thing.
