If I remember correctly, this is a Town & Country 2 from Ryan Grizzle. Super comfortable.

My favorite IWB holster for a J frame is probably the Lobo Gunleather Offset Clip IWB in horsehide. Sideguard Holsters makes a similar holster that is also excellent.

I used a borrowed IWB from Lobo with a K frame for a few days. It was about as comfortable as I can get with a k frame inside my pants and it was fairly easy to draw and reholster with.

+1 for Milt Sparks "Summer Special" holsters! I prefer semi-automatics for IWB carry, but if I did want to do so with a revolver, I'd go with one of these or the versions offered by Ryan Grizzle or Tim Thurner (TT Gunleather).

Earlier I touted the Alessi Holsters Talon. I have two of these, one made by Lou Alessi about 20 years ago for my 642. It's a great holster. In October of last year I ordered a Talon holster for my Colt Night Cobra from Alessi Holsters. At the time there was a 16 week wait time. No problem. After waiting 17 weeks I contacted them. They stated that they were just getting to it to finish it. Okay. A couple of weeks later I received the holster. It came in a large manila envelope and was slightly crushed. It was not too bad and the holster looked well made although not as well made as my original Talon. I wrote them an e-mail stating that I would have appreciated them sending my holster in a box instead of envelope. I never received a reply.

The other day I was thinking of ordering another holster from them and I tried their website. For a couple of days there was a message that their website was down for maintenance. A couple of days later Firefox lets me know that it might be risky to go to that website. Just now I checked it again and Firefox states that going there is a potential security risk.

I am going to withdraw my first recommendation since I think something strange is going on that makes me think they are not trustworthy.

I also have a couple of Kramer holsters that I like really well. I would go with Kramer from now on.

By the way, since my original post I checked their Better Business Bureau rating and it's an F.

Alessi just wasn't the same after Lou passed. I've got a couple of holsters from Ritchie Leather Co (one of Lou's protege's) that are very nice. Pretty good alternative if you are looking for an Alessi type rig.

I've never carried a J frame IWB, but I am a big fan of holster by Ryan Grizzle and Tim Turner both. I'm sure either could set you up.

Leather?
There's a ton of great stuff out there, you just got to figure out price range, type of hyde, color.

If you do decide to go with leather, make sure it's rigid. I'm not a fan of those cheap holsters that will collapse once the gun is out. A rigid holster will let you put the gun back in with little effort.

Kydex?
Limited choices, most kydex makers are sticking with semi-autos. But there's choices available for J frames.

I vote for Andrew's Leather McDaniel II. The belt loop is entirely off the gun, behind the trigger guard, which gives you the slimmest possible profile for an IWB revolver holster.

I carried my 442 in a stealthgear appendix carry holster all summer. I found it to be very comfortable.

Lobo Leather horsehide IWB. The width of the cylinder keeps the grips off my skin without a sweat shield.
