Picked up a P226 X-Five Reserve… Login/Join

I had mentioned on a thread a month or two ago that I would post some pictures when I picked up this Sig. I paid $2699 plus tax, but I know these seem to be bringing more than the $2800 MSRP in some cases, due to the limited quantity made.

The gun itself is, in my opinion, the nicest Sig Sauer ever made in the United States. At least it’s the nicest I’ve ever owned or even seen. For those that don’t know, the Reserve combines the elements of the Classic/Tactical steel X-Fives with the features of the P226 Legion X-Five. It’s finished in a high polished DLC, which makes photographing it a challenge, being the surface is so reflective. I did the best I could..

Here it is with my Classic and Legion.

Nice!

But I’m still not fond of a P226 X5 with an external extractor.

Serious about crackers

Yeah, the discontinuity on the slide is kind of an eyesore, isn't it? But, I will say that the US high polish DLC job on this one is definitely on par with that on the German P210 Midnight. Very nicely done.

Very nice P210

I’ve got a couple of the longslides, 6” black Nitron and a Silber Skeleton

That's good to know, Q.

And bac1023, I have to agree, photographing the Reserve is a bitch.
