Recently I posted pictures of the three P320's that I bought. My favorite, the one I'm going to keep, is the P320 X5 SXG. While preparing for a range trip, I set both Sig's next to each other. It was fun to compare the old and new as well as where the firearms industry was at the time each was manufactured. Both pistols are OEM stock. The P225 trigger, in single action, doesn't move when it trips the sear. There's pressure then it has the classic "glass rod" break. The P320 X5 has a good trigger for striker pistol, but it's not as good as the P225. The P320 X5 has some travel and slight mushy feel before firing. With the technology improvement in the 40 years from one pistol to the other, I expected EVERY parameter to get better. It hasn't. Has anyone else noticed similar issues? Roger

They're two different things. One is a secondary trigger pull on a hammer-fired DA/SA pistol (and the DA pull on a P225 certainly isn't anything to get excited about), while the other is a striker-fired service pistol with no manual safety and only one trigger pull. The 320 is already in trouble for firing when unintended...imagine how much worse that would be if you eliminated all the trigger take-up and reduced the weight of the wall. It'd be an NDpalooza! ----------------------------------------------------------- Any comments made by this poster are my own and do not reflect the views or opinions of my employer.
