Had a glock 28 that could not reliably shoot my 380 reloads without me exceeding the max recommendation. A search of reloading forums showed this to be a common problem with the G28. So found a sig 365-380 at my local dealer with a red dot at a pretty good price - sooo does any one reload for the 365-380 with reliability?

That rug really tied the room together. |
I've owned tons Glock pistols and have worked on them and consider myself pretty familiar with them. I agree that the Glock 28 is over sprung. I own one and it barely ejects empty shells. Couple things you can do. 1)Break the recoil spring in. Keep the slide locked back while its in your safe for the next few months. Rack the slide several thousand times in front of the tv. 2) Break the magazine springs in. Load and unload the mags in front of the tv a couple hundred times. Store them loaded in the safe. This will initiate spring set and start to break in the springs. 3) The recoil spring is a standard 9MM Glock 26 spring. You can swap this out for a well used Glock 26 spring if you can find one. A Glock 26 that has 3000-5000 rounds down range will have a well used, well broken in spring. 4) My G28 is reliable with hot ammo. Speer Gold Dot or Federal Hydra-Shok are both on the hot end of the spectrum and work wonderfully. 4a) Try to recreate hot ammo, such as the Speer Gold Dot load. Even if you have to exceed max and make a .380 +p to get the gun to work, its a Glock, and its robust. It will be fine as long as you don't overdue it. ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow
