Has anyone used both the EPS carry and the Romeo X enclosed? I know the Romeo doesn’t come in green, but otherwise how would you compare them? Is one really better or is it too close to call? ____________________ Colt King Cobra 6" : Glock 17 Hard Chrome : Glock 19 : Ruger K10/22-22 : S&W 686-5+ 4" : S&W 65-5 3" : S&W 65LS-5 : Walther P22 : S&W 686-5 2-1/2" : S&W 681PC : S&W 686PC : S&W 686-4 6"

If it matters the EPS is a K footprint which means it will not natively fit on the original RMSC cut. It will need a plate for things like Glock, Springfield etc. The Romeo will fit natively. Beyond that, that’s all I cannot offer any real first hand knowledge of the Romeo. Take Care, Shoot Safe, Chris

This will be my first red (or green) dot, so I’m not extremely familiar with all the footprint variations. I’m planning on putting this on a P365XL Spectre Comp, and thought/hoped both would fit. ____________________ Colt King Cobra 6" : Glock 17 Hard Chrome : Glock 19 : Ruger K10/22-22 : S&W 686-5+ 4" : S&W 65-5 3" : S&W 65LS-5 : Walther P22 : S&W 686-5 2-1/2" : S&W 681PC : S&W 686PC : S&W 686-4 6"

Pretty sure both will natively fit your SIG. Take Care, Shoot Safe, Chris

The EPS Carry includes a plate to adapt it to a true RMSc cut (the EPS comes with an RMR to EPS plate).

I have seen both and own the EPS carry. I have shot the big romeo x enclosed if you want that versus the slim one. I would still say go EPS carry. I have had very spotty reliability with some of Sigs older stuff. I liked the look of the Romeo X enclosed I shot and it was fine but I like the EPS carry reticle a bit better and have no reliability concerns. If I got a RomeoX enclosed on a gun I planned to not run hard, or saw on sale in a bundle then sure why not. Buying seperate I would do the EPS. If you are Mil/LE then program a EPSc via holosun. Hope that helps.

I picked up a EPS carry and couldn't wait to get another once I tried it. No experience with Romeo X's (have a couple 1 Pro's whic are fine and a Romeo 0 which is BASIC) I really like the circle dot reticle... that single red dot can be elusive with stress/speed. What I also like about the EPS carry (and other holosights though might need the solar thing options) you can set the reticle to self adjust to surrounding light.

The solution to "finding" the dot is to build a stronger index and to really work on target focus. That can be mostly done in dry practice. The circle helps tell you how you're misaligned. Improving that alignment is the way. I would be cautious about auto brightness. On most optics (the RMR HD and Holosun SCS being the exceptions), the auto brightness does not play well with using white light (handheld or WML) or aiming from a darker area to a lighter area.

Both are good points to remember.

I've been impressed with the Romeo Xs that I've handled. It seems well built and I like the low deck height. I saw a decent deal over the weekend on a full-size P320 Legion Comp slide with a RomeoX. I did some research and found a video where the reviewer had issues with the mounting screws shearing under recoil...seems that the sight isn't a flush fit in the factory DPP cut, and Sig also didn't put any recoil bosses in so all the force is going into the screws. It's a relatively large and heavy optic, too, so that may be exacerbating the problem. I wasn't able to determine if there's a filler plate or some other solution out there to address the issue. Not a problem with the optic itself, but something to consider regarding your particular pistol's mounting solution.
