Gray 229
What have I come across?
It is a P229 rail,Silver lower and a Charcoal gray upper. The grips are also a gray color. It is in 40 SW and has a DAK trigger. It looks great and if it is not a factory job somebody did a very good job.
The controls are in rev color , the sight match the slide. The insides look the same as the outside as far as color except some wear in the mag well looks dark like my other Sig. Any clue if this MIGHT be factory?
Thanks
Chip

Sounds like it has been refinished. Maybe even by one of the Members here who do beautiful work. If its as nice as you say, dont be affraid to snag it. Also, some pics would be nice to see.

Other than the DAK trigger (could be a previous owner job), it sounds a lot like a reverse two-tone, all steel 229.

Do you have the box? Can you determine if the bottom is all steel?

No Box.
A magnet will not stick to the lower but will the stainless marked upper

Yes, sir. A pic is worth a thousand-word description. But, as David Lee said, it sounds refinished.
