Responded to this thread since I also just got P32 (because of this thread) Smile

As I understand it, if the leather was placed in boiling water then dried, it will make it rigid.
The problem is how to not make it too brittle to avoid cracking.

Perhaps one of the forum holster makers can provide additional info.

Are you happy with yours?
Interesting about the leather.

Things work so well with mine, I am just going to skip the mag spacer.

I've had a P32 since 2003 or 2004. I've carried it extensively since then. Sure somedays I'll go with a 1911 or Glock/etc, but more often than not, I'll always have that little P32 tucked in my waistband or in a pocket. The finish is nearly worn off but I can tell you its went bang everytime I've pulled the trigger.

I was just looking at these for pocket carry. I sold my Beretta Tomcat and currently am pocket carrying a 21a Bobcat in 25acp in a Superfly holster. The bobcat is blued and a little heavy for what it is so for $200 and 32acp...I'm game for a P32.

Happy, yes, BUT I have not had it to the range yet (will go this week).
I did have to perform some serious de-burring of the plastic but everything else appears to be A-OK.
Intend to break it in with WWB 71 grain truncated tip ammo.
That should let me know if I need to install a fly-wire or not.

I might try carrying it with Lehigh defense or Underwood (w/Lehigh bullet) ammo.
Just need to acquire some and test it first.

Where were the burs on the plastic grip frame?

Perhaps a better term to use might have been, removed plastic flashing .

Used an emery board to;
*Smooth the sharp points at the base of the grip just behind the embossed Kel Tec logo.
*Remove the sharp edges at the back of the magazine base plates.
*Round the sharp edges off of the trigger and the hole in the frame where the trigger passes through (this area was pretty bad) .

Took about 10 minutes to do and now nothing sticks into me when holding or dry firing the pistol (using a snap cap).

Arrows indicate where plastic flashing or sharp edges were at.

Mine did not have any of that.
Some assembly tech dropped the ball when selecting the grip frame.
They should have seen that and used a better one.

You can buy an entire completed grip frame ready to go to put your slide on for about 60 dollars.
It even comes with 2 polymer pins to hold the receiver on.

I did note you had an 'upscale' finished model whereas mine is the plain gray grip with blued slide.
Might be they spend a bit more time on the ones with the better finishes.

The sharp points near the logo and the trigger may not have bothered others.
The (Mec Gar) mag base plate corners (all mags) actually protruded slightly outward, creating an even sharper point.
I would say that was Mec Gar's bad unless Kel Tec makes the base plates.
It was the slot above the trigger that really should have been caught by Kel Tec QA.
It's fixed (for me) now so time to actually get to the range and shoot it. Smile
Will provide an update after the range trip.

Looks promising, especially the Underwood. https://www.underwoodammo.com/...in-xtreme-cavitator/

I figure the diminutive .32 ACP round can use all the help it can get and the Underwood ammo in particular looks like one of the better rounds (if it works in the pistol).

Probably should add I would normally carry the P938 or S&W Shield but when its over 100 degrees those are harder to conceal on my thin frame.

Did not forget to post about the range visit.
Been out of town (until mid-Sept) and have the pistol with me but have not had an opportunity to get to the range yet.

Finally got to the range with the P32.

100% reliable using Fiocchi 72 grn ammo.
Very SOFT shooter.
At 5 yards the groups were about 4~5 inches the issue being the small, almost non existent sights.
Certainly capable point and shoot minute of bad guy accuracy at distances one would expect the pistol to be used.

Still need more rounds through the pistol to verify reliability for carry.

Yep, Fiocchi FMJ. Glad to hear it works well.
I agree, it's a soft shooter.

In an attempt to test reliability, I put roughly another 50 rounds (Win white box) through the pistol rapid fire yesterday with nary a problem.
Also shot 6 rounds of Underwood +P Xtreme Cavitators which fed/fired flawlessly and had minimal recoil.

Still require additional testing and need to work on accuracy since I'm now shooting at about minute of basketball at 7 yards (rapid fire).

The Underwoods did feed?
Interesting.

Mine just runs and runs, which is amazing given the price.

Yes, the Underwoods fed/shot just fine.

I simply fired the 6 rounds rapidly at 7 yards to test if they would work.
All of the rounds hit within approx. a 4"~5" group.
Granted this was not a comprehensive test but I didn't want to waste too much of this somewhat expensive ammo.
