TL,DR: Not recommended yet.

1. No auto brightness like the RMR. Boooo.

2. Overloaded power and brightness button. Double Booooo. Power on, power off, brightness adjust are all the same button. Push the the button and brightness goes up or down until limit reached. To reverse direction, you need to hold the button for 2 seconds (no more) and then release and press to adjust brightness. To power off, press and hold the button for 3 seconds. This is all kinds of fumble and fail when you're trying to adjust brightness under duress and lighting is changing - bright room, dark room, outside, inside, blah blah.

3. Good: you don't have to remove and re-zero when changing batteries. Bad: you need to remove the battery cover to remove the slide.

4. Good: you don't need a cutout in the slide; uses the slide rear iron dovetail. Bad?: mechanical security based on two torx screws (I used Blue even though not instructed). I guess this is okay, maybe no less secure than RMR slide screws.

5. Functionality: Good. I had no big issues with sight picture (acquisition and usage). I think it's actually faster than the RMR (maybe because I'm already acclimated to the RMR). I like using the window as a ghost ring. The front post centered in the ghost ring is basically perfect for elevation but needs to be drifted a little to the right (groups are hitting slightly left). The bad part is that I can't do it precisely w/ a sight tool; I need to loosen the torx screws and try to place it and tighten screws again. If I can tweak it in, the window makes for a nice functional ghost ring - just put the top of the front sight in the middle of the ring. The bad part is that the red dot is sitting right at the top of my trijicon hd iron sight w/ the orange dot. So the POA is actually a little hidden by the iron - red dot, then iron, then POA. Which is okay but a little distracting. That being said, with a natural sight picture, the dot is in the middle of the window as is the top of the front sight for 100% co-witness and use of irons as backup w/ ghost ring.

Enough for now. Generally, I like the concept, probably more than the RMR. But there are things that needs to be improved. I'll probably hold off on adoption of either RMR or DP Micro for now until both improve. Then choose one for broad adoption.
