The math ain’t mathing for me no matter which way I look at it. Parts build appears to be significantly more expensive than grabbing up one of the new SP5’s (although climbing in price). What am I missing here? Why would you go the build route?

The build route is for guys who want to say they built an MP5 off a "real" kit. Everything else is for guys who want one to shoot.
