Can I use a newer P227 stainless slide on a older 1995 German P220 frame that came with a carbon slide ?This message has been edited. Last edited by: dog44,
There is a chance it will fit but it is hard to say if it will fire and extract reliably. In my experience I have similarly it tried with a German 226 and a 2016 vintage SS slide it worked just fine.

The locking insert may need to be swapped out also.
Purely speculation on my part.

When I had my folded slide P220 from 1998 and the P227, the P227 slide assembly went on the P220 frame perfectly. Not sure how different the Tysons Corner P220 is, except for the fact that they reinforced the frame some time during the 90s.

Just double checked the serial # on the P220 and it was made in 1995 not 1985. I think the P227 side will work on it just wanted to check before I buy it.

You should be good to go, then.
