Love it! That color case-hardening is magnificent! For me, it’s hard to deny the practicality and utility of the plastic-framed guns; it’s equally hard for me to deny the aesthetics and functionality of cold, hard steel, as well! (Was going to post a nifty pic here, but my host site appears to be having some issues at the moment). (Edited to add: probably operator-error ha - pic below…) A trio of S&W Model 27s with factory, Keith Brown, and Bear Hug grips from top to bottom. The photos do't do it justice. It's like a drop of oil on a clam body of water. I want a set of black horn grips for it now. And I want to insert a medallion in the grips. A celestial sun. The blue on your revolvers is seductive! He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. | |||

Plastic I know that plastic is cheaper to make and easier to maintain and more resistant to rusting . . . . . But Plastic Guns just Have no SOUL You can not do this kind of finish to Plastic I love the look of color case hardened steel, especially on firearms that it is not typically applied to. Not just semi auto either. Smith & Wesson produced some not too many years ago My biggest regret is that I was not able to afford one of each model that the Factory produced in this wonderful finish Eventually I will stumble upon a used one or more ------------------------------------------------------------------ NRA Benefactor . . .
