I raised this issue, four years ago in this forum. I'm fond of the P365, owning several, and even enjoy the Sig BB pistol variation. I believe there is a huge market for pocket sized recreational rimfires. The P365 would be ideal. The P322 is a nice platform. I own two, but its lightweight frame resembles a service pistol in size. With modularity features, a .22lr P365 would be a fine training tool and lots of fun.

Maybe a small demand but huge market? I doubt it.

I would buy one in a second, love my 365 tac ops and i'm buying the legion next.

Fascinating, I wonder how they do it. A floating chamber like Colt Service Model Ace, a piston like the odd Glock conversion I saw recently?

I would suggest a "huge market" since the 9mm has been a tremendous success. Lots of folks enjoy the platform and would fire many more inexpensive rounds through a .22lr version. Call it training, or just plain fun. Build in reliability, at the existing P365 price point, and Sig will have another hit.

Just a half-educated guess, but if they did produce one, it would probably be hammer-fired. Note that the P322, which is supposed to be a "companion" or "understudy" to the P320, is also hammer-fired. So it might not have the exact same trigger pull characteristics or properties.

I may be in the minority but I think the usefulness of .22's is for accuracy. Could a rimfire P365 make a good target pistol?

I'll venture a guess that a whole lot of people who shoot the P365 do not shoot the .22. So, one's tremendous success does not necessarily translate to the other.

I shoot a ppks but the 10 rd mags are not much fun, give me a 25 rd 365 .22 and it would be too much fun.

Some .22s are for target use, others for plinking and recreation. I would see the rimfire P365 as a companion trainer, trail gun and tin can buster. If I were shopping for a bullseye pistol, Ruger, Browning and S&W already offer enough options.
