Time to turn my new 229 into a home defense gun. Looking for the best light for this type of use that also isn't hugely extending past the barrel. Any thoughts? Appreciate the help!

Thanks. Looks good. Didn’t know about the A version. Looks like Optics Planet may be best for it.

I'm a Surefire fan, have a X300 on my 226 nightstand gun and an XC1-B on my 19 that gets carried often. They have a couple of new models out that I haven't read up on yet. I've never had a problem out of any of my Surefire's, little pricey, but I know they'll work.

I’ve bought from Brad before and highly recommend him.

Thanks, I'll contact Brad. Much rather buy from someone here. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks to rogerwilco for your order and Phred for the referral!

The TLR-7A is an EXCELLENT light for the P229 and truly looks like it was made for it. I have them in stock in the Flex configuration (high and low switches for $120 shipped. I'd like to point out that parabellum discovered that he preferred a high switch on one side and low switch on the other and this is an excellent use of the Flex model.
