Sig Sauer Classic P-Series - Serial Number List and associated manufacture/import years/information
Mine is an all stainless steel P226S X-5 Level 1 per my call to Sig CS. made in Germany July 2006 with German proof marks. Beautiful wood grips with Sig Sauer on both sides. SN# U 733 3XX. No date marking that I can find.

Sig 229, AD 40 xxx. Serial number on frame and barrel. Not on slide. Siglight Night Sights. Triskele on frame, not on slide. "Made in Germany" I got it in '95. Thousands of rounds through it, wonderfully reliable and accurate.

Sig 229 AB 197XX "Made in Germany" Serial number on slide, frame and barrel. Triskele on frame. Magazines marked: "Restricted Law Enforcement / Gov't Use Only" I got it in '95. I put Ashly Outdoor Big Dot front and Express sights on it.

Sig 226 U-189-XXX. According to your data it dates to 1989. My records indicate I got it before that, but I could have recorded it incorrectly. Coated with NP-3. Magazines stamped "226" on the bottom. Serial number on slide, frame and barrel. Proof marks on bottom of slide at front. Proof mark follows serial number on frame. "Made in W. Germany".

I have p220 45 serial# g108-6xxHH.... I have owned it for about 15 years now and have put probably 200 rounds thru it. I actually traded a Winchester model 94 32 special for this Sig. I kinda regret it sometimes but then I shoot the Sig and that goes away.It does say Hawes Firearms Co Los Angeles Ca Made in W Germany on the right side of the slide. With Sig Sauer on the left side.

P226 KB date code, W. Germany left side, Exeter on the right. Slide is electro nickel. Previous owner tried cerakoting the controls, but didn't do a good job matching.
