P229 .40 S&W, Stainless slide/blue frame.
AF122xx Grips say 93 on one side and 94 on the other. Matching serial numbers on barrel and frame, no serial on slide. Slide does have SIGARMS on the side. Rear #5 contrast sight.

No other markings on it that indicate what year it's actually from...

First off, thanks for your obsession.

I just acquired a 1994 (KE) P228 never fired from a family member. It has since then been doing what it was originally intended to do...shoot! I love this gun.

My serial # B218 XXX is on the body and the slide. It is not a 2 tone as listed. Not that it matters to me.

My question is what is the middle stamp under the barrel. I have looked up the KE and Keil (W Germany).

Thanks, if I never find out it is okay with me. I still have the sig and it shoots fantastic, my new favorite.

I am also taking a mid 90's P220 never been fired off his hands soon. Will keep you posted.
