Want to send my slide back to factory to get refinished. Anybody done this and how long did it take?

I've never heard that they did it (unlike SIG).
In fact their FAQ has this.
HK does not offer any type of custom gunsmithing or re-finishing services

Arizona Response Systems. T. Mark Graham ("gunplumber" on FAL Files) has done contract work refinishing for H&K. Your best bet is to contact him via e-mail.
