Does your P239 rattle at all?
My dad's is a 40SW from ~1996. No rattle that I can recall, but it's got a relatively low round count, if that makes a difference.

This describes mine. If I recall correctly, I removed the mag while carrying (to test) and the rattle went away.

239 DAK originally in .40. Converted to 357 Sig. tight as a drum. Few thousand rounds.

239 DAK 9mm. Slide rocks and rattles. Few thousand rounds.

Both utterly reliable and accurate.

I have one 239 that now has over 40K rounds. You could use it in a mariachi band as an instrument. At this point I can't remember what it was like originally but in terms of function and accuracy, reliability etc. Its just as good as day one. This is an issue that's a non issue.

Mine has a little rattle slide to frame. Don't consider it a issue.

If it doesn't rattle its not a real SIG P239. Big Grin

Just shook mine vigorously, and no rattle, either with empty mag inserted or not. Bought it in Germany in ‘97 (Triple serial number German made two tone 9mm)

My slide rattles quite a bit, but shoots very accurately, and reliably.

P239 .40, bought it in 2005, shot it a lot.

Never checked it for rattle, never cared. Checked it today for the first time...it rattled.

Shoots as well as my P226 and P229 .40's. No connection between meaningful accuracy and rattle on any gun.

In the old days when base Colt 1911's were modified by gunsmiths, Bill Wilson had a good book called "The Combat .45 Automatic". He stated that slide tightening had only about a 5% improvement in accuracy. In other words, don't waste your money.

Duty/SD guns aren't supposed to have super small tolerances. They're supposed to be reliable and reasonably accurate.
