Almost missed this tucked way in the back corner of the used pistol case. S&W model 19 4”, $699 on the tag. Lemme see it please….ooh has some nickel issues $550 and it came home with me Obviously a 27 3.5” Pre 27 actually , circa 1950 Mechanically excellent Real pearl grips At least they had the serial # right , not an assembly number from elsewhere on the gun , which is what pawns shops often do. Pre-27 for $500. OMG. The prices of those are so high now. Good score for you and their mistaken loss. Imagine how little they paid for it...

WOW, that's beautiful. I've been looking for a score on one of those for years, and even with nickel issues, that is a fantastic price IMO. The Model 19s are some of the nicest carry revolvers ever made, and they are sure easy to shoot. Here's my 19-6 to keep it company. Congratulations again. S76711 Wasn’t that one the Home Screen on the old S&W forum? Or maybe I’ve just seen the picture a few times I quit school in elementary because of recess.......too many games --Riff Raff--

Yes, on the home page. My photos, my artwork. Rather stylish, wouldn't you say? Quite pleasing to the eye. The logo in the upper left hand corner of each forum page was my Model of 1950 .44 Specal 4" w/Cokes. Classy, if you ask me.

I agree, those guns in nickel with the barrel/shroud design are IMHO the best looking Smith ever made

Does it have the markings indicating it was nickel originally? N on back of cylinder, on barrel flat, ln grip frame? Looks original nickel tome, but sometimes a first class factory refinish can fool you. Even if it was $550 is a smoking deal

It is N stamped inside the barrel shroud, along with the serial repeated This one has bottom of frame, face of cylinder & barrel shroud instead of barrel flat I think the older guns had it marked on the flat I quit school in elementary because of recess.......too many games --Riff Raff--
