My used SIG P220 is here, can't take it home until Monday because of 3 day, but got to see it and look it over. Serial number is G276XXX, and SIG says it was made in the 1996 -97 period. Just wondering if anyone can tell me any more about it. Sportman's Outdoor Superstore said it was a "premium" model, more expensive than the regualar black P220 police trade ins. Other than two tone with stainless slide, it looks standard to me, but is my first P220, and I don't know much about them. Very nice looking firearm of course. Thanks.

That is a Nickel plated slide. The slide material is carbon steel, not stainless. 96-97 P220s are of the original folded slide, as opposed to the later one-piece milled stainless slide. Two-tone Ni SIGs command a slightly higher premium than their all black counterparts. Q
