I was in a couple of gun shops today after shooting my XL with the new Romeo Zero. One had no Sigs and the other had a couple of XLs. It was my first time in that store, so I asked the guy if he had any SASs or expected any to arrive. He said he had regular 365s on order, but no 365SASs. He went on the say he'd had only one and was unsure if he'd order another. He said the sights were great in daylight, but he, and another customer had noticed that they did not seem to work in the semi-darkenss. He said they put their hand above the sigt (showing me his hand about a foot over an imaginary receiver) and, looking through the SAS sight, could not see anything that would allow them to shoot and hit a target in the semi-darkness. I've only seen one SAS in person and didn't get to handle it much. I thought the SAS had some form of "night sight" illumination. How about that, you SAS owners, would you carry your SAS at night? The SAS sight is a combo of fiber optic and tritium. That's why it behaves the it behaves. Which is normal. Q

I have one and it does work at night. You have to have it in a direct line with the eye to see it. If it is cocked it disappears. That's the way it is designed. La Dolce Vita

It does work at night, because of the tritium. But, it is comparatively dimmer than visualizing it in daytime. Q

I have no problem seeing it at night. But it points naturally for me, so the sight is lined up. If you move it around, it will disappear.
