I carry it. CA has a 10 round capacity limit, so I may as well go big. I do still use my Glock 19, but I like smaller guns for 9mm.

Another .45 P250 fan here. I have the subcompact but my fave is the full size .45 slide/frame combo. For some reason weight, balance and stability are almost perfect for me when extended and raised to eye level. The sights just seem not to move much, like there is a gyro keeping everything in place. 10+1 and diminished felt recoil are nice also.
I also modified a compact frame to mate with the subcompact slide/barrel, more comfortable grip and 9+1.

However, I have been considering carrying my alloy frame Commander sized 1911 again. I am not concerned about the capacity, and it is super reliable, accurate, thin, ergonomic to the hand and an overall fantastic fighting gun....Plus I already have an IWB holster for it.
This is me, exactly. In cool weather (heavier clothing) I carry a DW Guardian in .45, when it gets warmer I switch to my Shield 9mm and lighter shirts.

Do you see that gap at the front of the optic?
So the Sig RXP cut has no recoil lugs and uses the front of the cut when mounting the DPP or the Romeo 1 pro. The holosun you have mounted is only held on by the screws, which will eventually be sheared off by the recoil of your P220.
Oh, it would not have been horrible to stick with my Shield over the 365. For what it does, pocket carry most f the time, the Shield would have been just fine. And it handled a bit better than the 365 with the smaller capacity.

I meant to ask earlier, since we're on about the Mighty Forty Five, does anyone regularly sport a P227 SAS or Carry? I've been interested in them for years and despite their discontinuance, they can be found.
They seem to be a nice option, as they have a smaller slide but still have the normal frame that utilizes the 10 round mag. They might be a better daily carry option than my full size P227, but I'm curious if anyone has daily experience with either version, the Carry or the SAS....

I have the 227 SAS Carry. It's a pretty nice gun. About the same size as my 228 or 229. I ordered some 14 round mags and when they arrive I will be testing them out. I've seen some negative comments about them but if they work, it will be my new EDC.

Let me know how they work, please.

For the P227 … I ordered 1 (one) new 14 round mag.from CDNN. Then … shortly afterward , the price was lowered to 29.99 same as the 10 round ones. It ran good for 14 rounds … that’s Al I have through it. My old originals with the textured boot… I changed the springs to Para ord 10% + from Wolfe. Fixed them to reliable.

I saw the ones on CDNN, I'll probably a pick a few up. Never can find the old ones with the big fat boot on the bottom, those have seem to dried up.

The problem with the 14 round mags is that they are about an inch longer than the 10 round mags. I thought that they were flush fit but I was wrong. Still, you can carry 10 ten round mags in the pistol and a 14 round mag on the belt as a backup. I'll be testing all of them tomorrow.
